Clinical Concepts Live
Date & Time
This month's topic:
Synergistic support for pain & its comorbidities
Mood dysregulation affects 85% of chronic pain sufferers, while more than 80% of people with osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis live with clinically significant levels of fatigue and up to 80% of those with chronic pain experience sleep disturbances. Leaving these comorbidities unaddressed means we are missing a large piece of the puzzle when it comes to a patient’s healing process.
In this Clinical Concepts Live, fall in love all over again with specific herbal medicines and reconnect with their traditional uses that we may too easily overlook. We will also uncover their exciting new applications for pain and its comorbidities.
We will also address the elephant in the room around pain management, Cannabidiol (CBD). Gain a balanced perspective and cut through the hype to better understand the potential implications for both pain and mental health.
Join Katey Weekes, Bio Concepts Technical Advisor, to uncover and unravel the impact of confounding factors on patients’ pain presentations.
- Get to the core of the comorbidities of pain and how they should be considered strong drivers of the chronic pain cycle
- Become more closely acquainted with the specific traditional applications of specific herbs and how new research demonstrates their targeted anti-inflammatory action.
- Apply this knowledge to chronic joint disorders such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis and understand its impact on clinical outcomes.
- Learn how to navigate medical interventions and work alongside them to improve patient results
