Baseline weight and measurements were taken for
two female patients. Ideal weight was determined
by ascertaining a BMI of 23 for their height.
Pathology testing consisted of weight management metabolites. Common results for this test are elevated suberic acid, cis-aconitic acid and fumaric acid; for which the treatment is acetyl-L-carnitine, CoQ10 and B-vital.
Follow up consultations were every two weeks.
Both were prescribed Thermolight, 1 serve per day (am).
Dietary recommendation was for 40:30:30 type balanced diet (carbohydrate : protein : fat). Protein requirement was based on ideal weight (kg) x 0.9 x EF. With EF standing for exercise factor. (For an explanation on how to derive the EF for your clients, consult the Clinical Weight Management program.)
Both clients were encouraged to exercise, with the minimum requirement being walking 3-4 times a week for 30 – 40 minutes.
After eight weeks of treatment both had achieved significant weight loss, increased energy and sense of well being. Results summarised below.
